Inactives: Do They Even Out?
Fairly big news with the announcement of the inactives. The Saints will be without two starters on defense, tackle Sedrick Ellis and strong side linebacker Scott Fujita are out. For the Falcons, the losses are equally substantial. Defensive tackle Thomas Johnson (calf) — who began starting after 2009 first-round draft pick Peria Jerry was lost [...]

Starter For A Day?
Andy Warhol famously said that everyone gets their 15 minutes of fame. Could it be that Falcons defensive end Kroy Biermann will have to wait a while to get in the starting lineup again?
Biermann, making the first start of his NFL career, had a sack in Sunday’s 45-10 win over San Francisco, tying him for [...]

Final: Falcons Dominate
Probably this outcome exceeded whatever Falcons Head Coach Mike Smith could have dreamed of. A 45-10 victory on the road over the San Francisco 49ers, who entered 3-1 and with the NFL’s sixth-best defense.
On to the Chicago Bears back at the Georgia Dome, where Smith’s teams are 9-1. The first quarter of 2009 season is [...]
